Though many people are working professional jobs and have earned higher education, they are not extremely wealthy. 69.41% of adults here have a 4-year degree or graduate degree, whereas the national average for all cities and towns is just 21.84%. |

New Center (Woodward Ave. / Henry St.)
New Center isn't in fact all that new. There are mostly historians living there now but they wont be living in any of the buildings, and in fact there may not be that many people living in an actual home as around this area, the current vacant rate is 49%. The vacancy rate is low for being one of the lower rent than 99% of the state of Michigan. Rent around here starts at around $497. In Chicago, that would be a steal and people would be fighting for a rent like that. Thought it is vacant, it is one of the most unique places because of the studio apartments (though no one is living there) and location to the city. New Center is also the largest area that is home to both Finnish and Africans in the whole country!
